I am very happy with this release, although i got the original noise pressing from far beyond.... The extra songs are worth to be listened - the more or less spoken "tristesse de la lune" give this album a slight stranger touch (what it already have). "Chapel in the Moonlight" is fascinating.
The remastering put things more into place. For example, the strings by "mesmerized" are more into the foreground... are more unearthly or haunting! Never had listened to a remaster, that sounds so fresh, as nearly new to my ears... or without dust.
Disc 2 is badly warped, but does not annoy the listening pleasure.
In my Opinion this is the best, what Celtic Frost produced in the 80ties. -
Sounds absolutely fantastic. Comes in nice packaging, and the gold vinyl is a nice touch. Highly recommended!

Just an FYI for anyone looking to buy a copy....the 1987 UK release did NOT come with a printed inner sleeve with Noise releases as pictured and described on this release page. It came with a generic paper inner.
Looking at the picture of the printed inner, this was released in 1987 yet has Dimension Hatross by Voivod on it (1988). Don't be fooled, it did not come with a printed inner only a single sided lyric insert -
referencing Into The Pandemonium (15×File, WAV, Album, Remastered, Stereo, 16-Bit / 44.1 kHz (Expanded Version)) none
A perfect remaster: mix, clarity, dynamics, etc. My only gripe is they should have gone 24-bit, and preferably 96kHz. -
Excellent press in of sound. Red logo colour is unfamiliar, but fine and bloody looking. Recommendable version from Combat.
-
Lots of background noise, not too obvious during the music but still there. However, good dynamics overall.
-
Great packaging and excellent sound stage. This album is often dismissed by fans and critics alike but this LP was ahead of its time in many ways. I recommend all of Celtic Frosts reissued work especially if you’re new to this innovative group of outsiders or not.

Edited 5 months agoThe absolute peak of Celtic Frost. Self produced...and what a job they made.
Owned this copy since 1987...been played on very good systems...however..if you haven't a top notch turntable-take the record to a hi-fi store and ask to hear it on their best system. You will be blown away....3D avant-garde metal, the male/female vocal exchanges on Rex Irae are incredible+the strings aren't harsh at full volume, the synth drums on One in their Pride are huge.
Genial production on such a heavy album.

Stupendously good album in every way. -
Into the pandemonium presented CF in so different way than Morbid tales and To mega Therion did.
Pioneers of extreme went too experimental on this album and recieved mixed critics.
In my opinion they went too much experimental but this is not bad album at all.
Very weird choice to open the album with cover song Mexican radio but it works really well.
Songs like Inner sanctum and Babylon fell are remnants of old CF and I won't dance is odd but very good.
Maybe the biggest problem is vocal in some songs, where Mr.Warrior is not the one you used to listen on previous records. Those vocals are presented in Mesmerized and Rex Irae and I understand why some people find it annoying.
The weirdiest song on the album is One in their pride which is kinda hip hop industrial and definitely does not belong on CF record.
The lack of direction on this album is something that practicly break the band and led Thomas Fischer into Cold lake disaster but that is some other story.
I can say that this is not Morbid tales or To mega Therion quality album but its far from bad album.
Some journalist called this Avant garde metal and I can agree with that term and recommend you to listen to this weird album and make your own judgment.
