Excellent sounding reissue. Silent, dynamic, well balanced. Analog, not sure, either way sounds amazing. Highly recommend 👍

Fantastic creative instrumental ambient-prog-jazz-fusion that unfolds like the rising sun showcasing brilliant technical mastery (DeJohnette’s subtle drumming is superb) & mesmerising delicate atmospherics.

One of the great ECM albums. Great playing, and the title track is a classic.

That the second half of "Lungs" hasn't ever been sampled is beyond me. Timeless manages to combine both aspects of 70s ECM: introspective fusion awash in plate reverb and amped up post-Bitches Brew grooves also awash in plate reverb.
The only thing missing is the late winter Nordic vibe. Something on here *has* been sampled by (coff coff) Kanye West, I believe.

Excellent pressing. Mine is translucent brown when held up to a halogen lamp. This Warner Bros. distributed version (1-1047) should be listed as a reissue. Released somewhere between 1978-1984 based on ECM record labels used in the beginning of the WB partnership. The 1975 first pressing was distributed by Polydor in the US.

I have this and the RL version of the LP. I surmise that this is RL's work, it's sublime. I go back to college in 75, 76 both with Solstice which is Towner - and this genius work from Abercrombie. I just adore the track Timeless and have for 50 years about. This 24/196 file is truly superb sonically. The path is a McIntosh D 150 DAC tethered to a 2021 MacBook Pro whe30th anniversary with a limited edition speaker, called the Tribute re the HD Track resides. Downstream is Mc C500, MC452 amp, lots of Mc cable and the Paradigm Tribute speakers, which are Be tweeter, 30th anniversary, limited edition spkrs. circa 2013, very good and a great value, they complement this masterfully. In sum, this is excellent.

I have what appears to be the second pressing manufactured in (ie this one), but there's a typo on the back listing the duration for the title track as 2:00. Is this a known error or variation?

damn, that kick drum will get you evicted. fun record; mix is hot and heavy. (Pressing is grainy, however.)

Yeah, I love this album. The first time I have heard it, I was so drawn into it I went the to record store next day and bought three more Abercrombie's albums.
