Colour-Hits

Profile:

Norwegian series introduced around November 1958 by EMI's Norwegian representative Parlophone: Blue vinyl with red labels

They were issued in either a generic diecut company sleeve, or a non-diecut sleeve with the release information printed on it. All in a colour corresponding to the colour of the vinyl.

The vinyl formulation was developed and manufactured by Norsk Hydro's factory and PVC lab at Herøya. Test pressings to ensure the quality of the plastic batch were also performed on site at the lab at Herøya.

As a gimmick in 2002 a release was issued in a Colour-Hits series replika design: The Moods (2) - Gina / Baby Don't You Do It
