It's the complete discography -SpeedyQ's.

It will sell out anyway, ha ha! But yeah, I agree with you, it's quite surprising and disappointing at the same time. I guess I would have ordered a box if this one actually had the whole SODOM discography, but missing the Speedyq's ones, which are part of the best tracks from the label (much better than some of the latest releases imho), is a no go for me. I don't know why his tracks are not on, though. I hope this doesn't mean he has quit music producing and Djing because he's one of my favourites behind the decks!

Why does the website says 3 CDs - S.O.D.O.M 25TH ANNIVERSARY (SODOM A1/A2/A3) ? Are they available separately? On discogs I can see a wonderful 9CD set only: Various - S.O.D.O.M - Slaves Of Devil Our Master (25th Anniversary)

Edit - on website they are available as 3x3CD sets each for €30. Where is the 9 CD set available, or more realistically where it was available ? :)

They were available in a 9 CDs (actually 3x3cd digicase) box, which also included a SODOM flag. It was sold essentially through facebook, I believe. You had to send a email to a dedicated address to pre-order your copy. I assume the boxes are now long gone, but sure some folks will try to sell their copy here at prohibiting price. :-)

Yeah saw the Facebook SODOM page yesterday. I ordered the 3x3 CDs sets from Ultimate House Merchandise too yesterday. I didn't know about the Facebook post since I don't follow much most things. Pity I won't have the metal box. If anyone has a spare copy toss it to me :)

This is me only speculating. I would like to know the reason as has been pointed out his productions on S.O.D.O.M were some of the strongest and not having them in this compilation seems strange. If the masters were lost then how could he have released them as recently as 2020 on his own label, anyone know?

Discovered it myself via Mr. Mess (2) - Happy Toons which Painbringer used in a mix.

Looks interesting, but seems a bit short? They seem to fit in 80 mins visually.

Yes they definitely are some of the best tracks on sodom. Ive always been a big speedy fan but overall i think early sodoms are way overated and not worth a fraction of what they fetch these days. There are way better tracks from in this period available alot cheaper.

I was lucky enough to pick up a lot of 'French' releases when they first came out and could never afford the crazy prices now. I do like some of the early tracks which I think have stood the test of time. There are also quality new releases. I am glad that they are still releasing this style of music. But yes some amazing tracks go under the radar and some tracks you wonder what all the fuss is about. I guess hype and nostalgia plays a part and when a record is priced very high it automatically gives the impression it must be good. Regarding Speedy Q's I loved his last release on his label KS but haven't noticed much output from him recently unless I have missed something? I really want energy speedway - https://discogs.programascracks.com/master/594904-SpeedyQs-Private-EP but the sample at the beginning is a dialogue from the Movie Con Air - the actor Steve Buscemi is sampled, but in the movie, he plays a paedo and that dialogue is when he is 'approaching ' some little girl. That always throws me off a bit . A shame as that assocaition ruins the track for me a bit.

i think there are 2 main reasons which can "explain" those crazy price for older SODOM releases. The first is because there is a real "cult" around this label, which immediately makes records more pricey. Whatever is pressed on the wax, as long as it's SODOM labelled, some people will buy, without even listening the previews. The other reason is the limited copies / no repress issue which affects the price, especially for the first releases which were, from the 90s standards, REALLY limited. I explain : Back in the days, when you were pressing a record, even in Hardcore, you were usually pressing 500 to 1500 copies, and if the EP sold well, lots of labels would go for a repress so another 500 / 1000 copies (Thinking of Epiteth second chance, Psychik Genocide or Epileptik represses from the same period for exampel). So at the time, 250 copies limited with no repress was really a limited edition, which can explain why some other records from the same period can be found cheaper because they were more widely available. While nowadays 200 is - for Hardcore at least - the standards numbers of pressed copies for a regular pressing and 50/100 copies will be for the limited editions...

I believe Tripped's album really fits well on CD format. I find full albums on vinyl often a hassle. Too much physical space is taken by the records.
And a CD can deliver that experience of 1 full album, one hour long, unlike a vinyl, which by format is more suited for a few tracks.

Tripped's album is great qua styles. He brings a nice variety. Which reminds me of those albums by Radium, Micropoint, where you'd also hear a few beat-less tracks, some slower, mainstream hardcore and gradually you end with faster, terror-like hardcore.

I don't know why it's hard to grasp that not everyone is a fanatical purist only interested in original pressings of rare obscurities. not only do most of those tunes still work on the dancefloor - but have also been around long enough that near enough anyone who's been to at least a few hardcore raves probably has some good memories associated with them.
