From the horse's mouth:
It is currently 18th March 2003 and the time in Newcastle is 3am exactly. 3am on a weekday morning in Newcastle generally brings peace, quiet and sudden bursts of motivation such as this one. (ie. exactly the opposite of 3pm). A long overdue glance at the calendar indicates that it is now nearing the end of March 2003. Time certainly does fly when you are having fun, but it absolutely fucking hammers along when you pay no attention to it at all. Very soon it will be 3pm this afternoon, followed soon after by June/July 2003 and then before anyone realises, every fucking person you speak to will be insincerely wishing you a 'happy new year' and the fucking clock will read 3pm on 1st January 2004. Why does this matter? It matters because we want something to show for the year 2003. During 2002 Bloody Fist released a whole two (2!) records. Thinking back, the rest of 2002 appears to have been taken up with time simply slipping away and fuck knows what else. At 5 minutes to midnight on 31st December 2000, Bloody Fist had nothing to show for the preceding 12 months except a totally fucked Cortina station wagon and 7 copies of FIST22 nestling snugly at the bottom of Newcastle harbour. What a complete fucking waste of a year that was. It's not even funny. It has recently dawned on a few people around here that so far, Bloody Fist activities for 2003 have encomed nothing more than organising a final show at the Hunter On Hunter Hotel, plus several all-talk-no-action sessions regarding various projects at the label. So now it is time to 'bite the bullet' and take the bold step of announcing a short list of 12 projects that are forthcoming. The new 'ultimate challenge' is to have all these jobs/projects completed by 3pm on 31st December 2003. Why 3pm? Come on, you know exactly why.

So there it is. A list of jobs which need completing between now and the deadline. It is not yet clear whether this is an unrealistic list, however they have been posted to the website purely as a selfish motivational tool in order to get the jobs done. Yep. Nothing else matters now except getting the jobs done and getting them done well. Our time begins now. At one minute past three on the afternoon of December 31st 2003, all 12 jobs above will have been completed, come hell or high water. Failure to do so will result in drastic measures being taken. These drastic measures will be announced as soon as we think of some measures which are sufficiently drastic.
If you are interested, check the site for regular updates on the above 12 jobs.
If you are not interested, that would make perfect sense.
