i need some advice how to handle a case like this here:
http://discogs.programascracks.com/history?release=2801071#latest
thank you all. -

Mastering SID Code (Variants 1, 2 & 3): IFPI LP73
Mould SID Code (Variant 1): IFPI 0746
Mould SID Code (Variant 2): IFPI 0767
Mould SID Code (Variant 3): IFPI 0769 -

or even:
Mastering SID Code: IFPI LP73
Mould SID Code (Variant 1): IFPI 0746
Mould SID Code (Variant 2): IFPI 0767
Mould SID Code (Variant 3): IFPI 0769
the variant suggested by dreeat is not good, too long with information doubled without any reason -

Mastering SID Code: IFPI LP73
Mould SID Code (Variant 1): IFPI 0746
Mould SID Code (Variant 2): IFPI 0767
Mould SID Code (Variant 3): IFPI 0769
Not the best choice IMO, now when someone who has different Mastering SID Code, he has to update the existing
Mastering SID Code --> Mastering SID Code (Variants 1, 2 & 3): IFPI LP73
and then create the Mastering SID Code (Variant 4): IFPI LP74

this is what i thought too as i tried too explain with my previous comment when it comes to the meaning of the word "Variant".
thank you guys for your help.

I would still update that like this:
Matrix / Runout (Variants 1, 2 & 3): sonopress arvato [Logo] 51685251/14506-2 21
Mastering SID Code (Variants 1, 2 & 3): IFPI LP73
Mould SID Code (Variant 1): IFPI 0746
Mould SID Code (Variant 2): IFPI 0767
Mould SID Code (Variant 3): IFPI 0769

^ok, maybe you are right, but IMHO:
the presence of these descriptions (Variants 1, 2 & 3) has the same meaning as their absence -

I think it just helps the adding of the possible future variations. -

I would still update that like this:
Matrix / Runout (Variants 1, 2 & 3): sonopress arvato [Logo] 51685251/14506-2 21
Mastering SID Code (Variants 1, 2 & 3): IFPI LP73
Mould SID Code (Variant 1): IFPI 0746
Mould SID Code (Variant 2): IFPI 0767
Mould SID Code (Variant 3): IFPI 0769
^Yes 100%
You must numerically-relate variant data for each variant issue being logged.
(Including any subtle change that may happen in this too; Matrix / Runout (Variants 1, 2 & 3): sonopress arvato [Logo] 51685251/14506-2 21)
e.g.
Matrix / Runout (Variants 1, 2 & 3): sonopress arvato [Logo] 51685251/14506-2 21
Matrix / Runout (Variant 4): sonopress arvato [Logo] 51685251/14506-2 22
Mastering SID Code (Variants 1, 2, 3 & 4): IFPI LP73
Mould SID Code (Variant 1): IFPI 0746
Mould SID Code (Variant 2 & 4): IFPI 0767
Mould SID Code (Variant 3): IFPI 0769

so i think that will be the solution, for the case/release
http://discogs.programascracks.com/history?release=2801071#latest
i started with:
Matrix / Runout (Variants 1, 2, 3): sonopress arvato [Logo] 51685251/14506-2 21
Mastering SID Code (Variants 1, 2, 3): IFPI LP73
Mould SID Code (Variant 1): IFPI 0746
Mould SID Code (Variant 2): IFPI 0767
Mould SID Code (Variant 3): IFPI 0769

Mastering SID Code: IFPI LP73
Mould SID Code (Variant 1): IFPI 0746
Mould SID Code (Variant 2): IFPI 0767
Mould SID Code (Variant 3): IFPI 0769
Hmm, i prefer this method. i think Mastering SID Code (Variants 1, 2 & 3) is unnecessary unless there are multiple Mastering SID Code variants (rarely happens). No variant number after Mastering SID Code just means it has no variants and is always the same.
Not a right analogy of course, but a similar approach anyway: if a credit belongs to all tracks we do not list track numbers. -

We agreed last week that should attack this scenario in SID pairs with the matrix even if this means repeating certain information. This way the variants occupy blocks and the information is neat and ordered and there's less chance of people coming along and incorrectly adding info which doesn't belong to a particular variant.
Matrix / Runout (Variant 1): 51685251/14506-2 21
Mastering SID Code (Variant 1): IFPI LP73
Mould SID Code (Variant 1): IFPI 0746
Matrix/Runout (Variant 2) 51685251/14506-2 21
Mastering SID Code (Variant 2): IFPI LP73
Mould SID Code (Variant 2): IFPI 0767
Mastering SID Code (Variant 2): IFPI LP73
Matrix / Runout (Variant 3): [Sonopress Arvato logo] 51685251/14506-2 21
Mastering SID Code (Variant 3): IFPI LP73
Mould SID Code (Variant 3): IFPI 0769
Logo handled exactly as Nik advised in the recent thread on symbols and logos in the matrix/runout subject. No indication on the thread that variant 1 and 2 contain the logo, they probably do but that must be confirmed before it is just amused and added as was done a few hours ago. -

amused? thats not the case.
i already confirmed that fact after Variant 3 was added direct on the release page-history here:
http://discogs.programascracks.com/history?release=2801071#latest
...:"the matrix runout for both variants (i mean the 2 which had been already entered before) are the same as the one you just entered as 'Variant 3' dreeat.
they do also show the Sonopress Arvato logo. i only forgot to add this to the field. but i did the LCCN update in my last edit and mention this fact in my previous comment."
so all 3 matrix/runouts (incl. the logo) & all 3 Mastering SID Codes are exactly the same.
Mould SID Codes = 3 different.
i do hold "Variant 1" & "Variant 2" as phisycal copies in my collection.
"Variant 3" is obviously in the collection of 'dreeat'.
so are we all good now and ready to update this releasepage in the way Eviltoastman posted before ...?

of course the update will include the [Sonopress Arvato logo]- info as well on all the Variants…
thought this will be clear at this point of the discussion.

I come across people trying to 'save space' quite often, it annoys me no end.
But now we have something to quote, excellent.
Edit: I just noticed the date of the thread!
