This is one of my all time favorite albums, so I was particularly disappointed to find that this pressing is noisy as hell. Persistent surface noise throughout, even after several years of trying to clean and de-static the records. None of my other records are this noisy on my setup - even most of my used records are quieter than this album, which I purchased new from ISIS’ webstore. And as others have noted, the overly- extravagant packaging is actually a bit difficult to work with in of getting the records in and out. Too bad, cause the actual mastering of the music is quite good. Maybe they should have gone with a more traditional, less expensive type of cardboard for the cover, and devoted the extra money to getting a really quiet, pristine pressing. To be clear, 5 stars for the music, but you’re better off playing the cd instead.

Just to let anyone who buys this know, the packaging is really really tight and snug on the records. Don't know why considering how huge the gatefolds are.
