Has anyone compared this pressing to a US Casablanca? Is the German Oasis better?

I wish a different label would get a hold of Giorgio's music, rather than Repertoire, as they are blocking other labels from doing stuff with this album. There's so much possibility in regards of releases, yet they insist on repressing their vinyl sourced CD's and LP's, which by the way, sound really poor. If you want a fantastic sounding copy of this album, source out the 1992 release on Castle Communications. It's taken from the master-tapes, rather than the previous efforts, which are all sourced from vinyl. That being said, the masters ARE available, so how come another company doesn't jump at this chance and use them?

This album is not only essential, but close to top of your list of essential music. (97 out of 100)
Moroder made a ton of music before and after this album. He is one of the most important dance producers ever, not only by scoring hits for Donna Summer but also for bridging Kraftwerk and the dancefloor by introducing Techno before it was called Techno. It took another 4-5 years before Techno could up stand as a sub-genre. This album tells that story.

Giorgio - FROM HERE TO ETERNITY

From Here To Eternity is by far Giorgio's best album (although E=MC2 is very good too)!
The sound is groundbreaking: synths, loops, vocoder-voice, hard beat...

The 7"-Single Mix shaped the modern Club-DJ-sound. Moroder was far ahead of his time.
The album is simply groundbreaking and stunning!

I can recommend it to Disco-, Electronic-, House-, Techno-, Trance- and New Wave-Fans
and everyone who wants to find out the roots of modern dance music.
