Great pressing, no noise on my copy and the color is gorgeous. Saved the outer shell and put in a gatefold sleeve.

Edited 2 months agoPops/surface noise on the first track is terrible on mine, which is a shame since that's my favorite part of the soundtrack. Unlistenable. :( Seems I was unlucky.

I received this upon release. Surface noise isn’t nearly as bad as I ed, though I’m now using a micro-line stylus - which may play a part. The mastering sounds very nice, only having the original cd for comparison. I’d be very curious to compare it to either Warner single LP release.

Great pressing, nice packaging. I like to think this is the best way to listen to this soundtrack. The whole thing comes together nicely.

Much like the original show, this movie started out fantastically, with some amazing "surprise" appearances/performances (Bowie, Isaak) to add to that. Then it fell flat, and for me, they totally burst the bubble with revealing way too much about Leland Palmer (Laura's father) and the ongoings in the Palmer family. It was also difficult for me to accept that they exchanged Lara Flynn Boyle with Moira Kelly. UGH... No one does a better Donna Hayward than Lara did.
Regardless, the soundtrack is fabulous, and after you listened to the whole album, you want more Twin Peaks music, and also more Julee Cruise. It always turns into a TP listening marathon! ;)
And for this double vinyl, they had me at "cherry pie"! -
Just received my new copy and it sounds amazing! The vinyl is dead silent, flat, and the Cherry Pie color is beautiful. Simply amazing dynamics with this release and I think it benefits from being spread over two LPs, unlike the other reissue. Though others have had issues with this pressing in the past, perhaps they have corrected these concerns at the factory, or I just got lucky. Either way, this is a stunning vinyl release with incredible packaging.
A must-own for fans of Twin Peaks and Badalamenti! -

Just chiming in to say that I took a gamble on this release after seeing it in the wild. I may have just gotten lucky but my copy sounds great with minimal noise. Good luck.
