Edited one year agoFrom the notes: ”Comes with […] one or two extra 11" coloured inserts”..? I’ve never seen a copy of this that came with more than the poster insert. There are no pics of these inserts anywhere either. What are they? They were obviously not included with all copies of the first press.

Edited 4 years agoFantastic pressing, very clean sound with no cracks or pops. Great album altogether, they stepped up after already really good debut album. It aged well too, I go back to it often.

An utterly unapologetic album. The songs in Favourite Worst Nightmare are all aggressively honest, with lyrics so incisive that it's refreshing. There isn't a bad song on this album; each creation is sonically absolutely brilliant and lyrically keenly observant. Favourite Worst Nightmare is astonishingly accomplished as a sophomore album; it lacks the weighty sound of Arctic Monkeys' later albums, but it actually benefits from this, taking on a youthful and corrosive attitude that is frankly infectious.
