Let's be real, Maggot Brain is the best song on this and it gets cut off abruptly, which is blasphemous to Funkadelic. Hard to believe someone approved an incomplete recording to be the ending of a rather terrific assortment of songs. This could have been the perfect album. That's why I can only give this album 4 stars.

Great complication, clean sounding. Swear I'm hearing some extra bits in the mix on a few tracks.
Only complaint is the cold ending on Maggot Brain.
While I'm on that soap box... When will we get the extended version of Red Hot Mama with the full guitar solo? -
Sold my westbound Funkadelic albums... This is the one to hold on to till someone will remaster and repress their albums... 100% pure enjoyment... -
Good sound quality. Had been looking for any decent modern Funkadelic vinyl, and this was a satisfying purchase. Plain paper inner sleeves. -
The sound is out of this world man ya, jus creep up wit a lil reefer and chill. True analog stylings of one of the greatest bands of all time. This is the way the funk should be heard. Forget those 4MWB and Westbound reissues, if it ain't from the master tapes don't bother with ya feel. You need to hear this band in analog it's the only way the true depth and layers of this work can be delivered or else you just get a blurry, hollow mess that completely misses the biscuit and essence of what this band is all about. This reissue is legit. MELLO certified.
