“Incognito” is an excellent early Spyro Gyra record with the band augmented by first-call east coast-based studio musos. Steve Gadd is the drummer for the entire project, with Will Lee and Marcus Miller divvying up bass duties. Miller gives his unique funk stamp with his slapped bass. The performances and production are superb. The RL cut vinyl makes this Pinckneyville pressing pop. If jazz-funk is your cup of tea, this record has your name on it!
