Edited 4 years agoExcellent reissue, converting the original EP into a perfect LP in its full glory, adding 3 songs of a Peel Session done around the same time frame. These 3 songs were lost in an impossible to find CD and now, at last, availabale in such perfect reissue. 'Anchors' is an early (powerful) version of "Ends With The Sea" to be found on the later 7" of the same name by B.C.Gilbert & G.Lewis.
Just before the Dome magical LPs to come next, this new extended version of Cupol offer generously to your ears the beginning of this new story after Wire (even if these maverick directions are somehow announced on the 7" originaly sold with Wire "154" where each wire member signed a solo piece, listen back to these, this is where Dome aesthetic started...).
I don't even mention the great adding of two postcards with photos of an original Cupol live stage installation, or the super instructive insert with notes and drawings by Russel Mills and Graham Lewis, this is all great and makes the re-issue more interesting than the original !
Thank you Dark Entries for this great reissue !

Wonderful Reissue! The new tracks fit well into the strange ambient world of Gilbert/Lewis.
Can Ambient be Punk ?-)
