In my opinion Beachball was entirely composed after hearing BBE's Seven Days And One Week.second best!

I never liked 'Beachball' and always wondered why the track caused such a commotion out there. The melody is quite easy, monotonous, always stuck between the 4 same notes: a little bit like 'Get Get Down' by Paul Johnson.
A funny thing is that they also mistakingly took a sound sample of what they though were seagulls, when these birds are apparently crows. If these are heard near the sea, that might be because there are dead fish or dead animals nearby. A strange place to play Beachball, don't you think?
A lot of the people who liked 'Beachball' only liked it because it 'played on the radio', because it went 'mainstream' while other tracks, probably much better, didn't make it to the commercial circuit. Think Platipus Records for example: at that time, they were really popular to make good melodic Trance, but so little went beyond the records (at least where I live).
In my opinion, Nalin & Kane made a lot of great remixes for other artists (Da Hool, Jam & Spoon for example), but never really top this quality in their own tracks.
'Beachball' was remixed many times. I heaven't heard all of the re-versions but it seems Gabriel & Dresden bring it in another, more pleasant direction.
