I love this album, but quickly forget how almost every song goes within an hour of listening. This has gone on for many years. Maybe it's the unity of production, maybe it's me. May be smart that Bowie put Zig to bed after this and lit out for the states and TW Duke-dom.

Nicely packaged, with even the fan club ticket from the original UK release included. When it comes to the sound, it is technically speaking very good, but it sounds a bit harsh and cold to my taste. But it does sound very clear, and technically speaking it is a good issue, although I would prefer a slightly warmer sound. But that is a matter of taste. Technically speaking, this is a very good reissue.

Edited 2 years agoThis is an excellent pressing. Sounds clear, well mastered and can I just say that this old mix of by Ken Scott and Mick Ronson is just an amazing achievement in rock history. Amazing soundwork. Amazing artwork. Amazing album. Amazing pressing. Don't miss out.

I understand collectors prefer original pressings but if sound quality is important then this version is really worth having.
-
Yet another fantastic recent Bowie repressing. Great packaging, heavy record, flat and clean. Very cheap, too! Love the inclusion of the fan mail letter from the original pressing
-
Great price, packaging and mix! Lady grinning soul gives me goosebumps it sounds so great. The vocals on track 1 are dampened somewhat but other than that this is a perfect release.
A no-brainer! -
The packaging of this release is amazing, the remaster though not so much. The main issue for me is it’s too bright with the bass pushed to the back. I get that newer fans will love this, the problem though is they have little comparison. For me the 1981 RCA International – INTS 5067/13890 UK version mastered by bilbo still leaves me speechless 39 years later. Im not saying this to sound contrary or elitist. It’s just a reference that you’d never know existed within the two hundred and seventeen versions of this record.
