Edited one year agoIn my opinion, by this time, it seems that "Prince" still had to get his Musical Muses out of his system...In order to do this, he created a very successful online service named the "NPG Music Club"....
So now, here comes "N·E·W·S"...
Now again, it is not groundbreaking, but it does solidify how versatile of a Musician he was (like we really needed evidence of that!!!!),,,
The songs come from the abbreviated album title ("North, East, West & South"), each clocking in around 14 minutes a piece....
Playing with the "NPG": "Rhonda Smith" (Bass), "John Blackwell" (Drums), "Renato Neto" (Keyboards), and the one and only "Eric Leeds" on Saxophone, this music kinda reminds me of that "Electric Fusion Jazz" from guys like "Miles Davis" and "Herbie Hancock"...
If you were not into that stuff, then this didn't appeal to you, but if you did, you went BUCK WILD on it!!!! So, once again, we have an album with Music appeal, and from a Man who was not afraid to show it!!!!
PS: "Prince Estate", please release this on Vinyl!!!!!!!! -

Could I suggest that the title be listed in a more searchable way - either as just "NEWS" or as "N.E.W.S" since the centered dot character is not on most keyboards
