What a lush and apocalyptic view of a dystopian future. Distorted pads are pushed to their limits as despair soaked melodies make their slow, inexorable march through the darkness. Ancient choirs and tribal percussion speak of rituals of a bygone era. What I like about these tracks is that it isn't just a drone...there are sounds and effects added along the way to make for a fuller sound picture. Also this is the most melodic album I've heard from Simon under the Atrium Carceri moniker.
