I got lucky!!! It seems to be a matter of some defective copies, but my copy sounds great! I was also hesitant to take it because of the bad reviews, but everything turned out to be top notch! Bass is present, treble is well developed, dynamics are in place and detailed. If you compare it to the HI-RES 24/98, this copy definitely wins! Phenomenal. -
Good solid pressing though the mastering does seems to be a bit trebly, but then again F+TM have never really been known for intense deep punchy bass.. they sound a bit high end and trebly to me.. that having been said, there could’ve been a better job done with the cut and mastering here. Discs are flat and heavy. Not a bad edition but could be better.

I sadly need to agree to the other reviews. It’s badly mixed. Hissing on s‘es is massive. Way too much treble.
This record was in the need for a remaster right from the start.
Listened over Ortofon LVB 250 and Elac Concentro S 507. -
I bought my version in Poland, so it has several additional stickers and a concert announcement sticker

I listen this fantastic record on Mofi Studiodeck and it sounds very good. Not bad as everyone stated here. I agree it's not best pressing but it really sounds great. Except Various storms. But it's listenable.

Edited 6 years agoUgh. Just gone to this page to see if others found this record to be a disappointing pressing. Seems like the vinyl master wasn't done well. I hear way more static than I'd expect between the tracks and the clarity and dynamics are not a patch on the digital. That'll teach me to check Discogs before buying.

Agreed with all the other reviews. We have an old but excellent hifi and a new cartridge. The treble on this recording is very harsh at times. Am buying a CD instead. Shame.

Would not recommend this press! Very, very sharp highs, just listen to the opening track "TZCHip to wreck". Sad when the digital copy sounds better than the physical.
