Is it hyperbole to call this one of the greatest house tracks of all time? Surely someone out there agrees with me? It feels like I'm listening to a broadcast from God every time I put this record on.

It's no shock Thomas Bangalter went out of his way to repress it with an expensive, incredible master on his label Roule. While that's the version I'd recommend everyone pick up, I'd still highly recommend picking up the original just to own a piece of House history.

Glad I have a copy of this. But yes it does sound like it was recorded underwater by a man with a cold but hey ho lo fi lining

... more preferable than Jacob’s Mouse who sounded like they just pressed play and record on a cassette player, then walked into another room to make some jam on toast.

Beautiful record. Thankful for the repress.

Da' Change has the same synth as I Feel It (2000), which appears on BM-011.

RIP Romanthony. Will play it loud.

Regarding the previous and future comments about the so called "lo-fi" of this pressing seems typical of some "hipster" jargon from someone born in the 90's, albeit a great phenomena and testament to House music that younger worldwide audiences are newly discovering and re-discovering such great American music from the past Century. In case you didn't know about the music of Romanthony this is pretty typical of his sound, Rough, Raw and "Low-Fi", it is what it is. It is all part of the Whole of it. This is far more than a "Collectors Item". It is a back to the future snap-shot from a time capsule of yesteryear that no re-issue can ever make better.

Collectors item only, crap press but epic soulful grooves from Romanthony. Hold On re-press is available pretty cheap on Bangalter's label 'Roule'.

Rest in peace dude, sorry i didn't discover you until it was too late....

Da Change is one of Romanthony's best tracks, his vocals are really inspirational and soulful, and there's a good background vocal hook of "Change, Change!". The only problem is that the recording is REALLY lo-fi, and the overall mastering of this record is terrible.

The B-Side, Hold On, is also another Romanthony classic, but don't bother with the mixes on this release, instead go with the high quality release on the Roulé label.

Absolutely one of Roman's best vocals ever ! Just a shame that this vinyl is in poor quality, we need a remastered version of Da' Change badly. Just wondering why this is on none of his album compilations. Da Change is to be forever an underground classic, amazing this one !!!
