Edited 6 years agoGoing to be a pedant here - the statement "CD hadn't even been invented, or digital!" is quite incorrect.
Sony released the first commercially available CD player in 1982, and digital mastering had been around since the seventies. It might have been eye-wateringly expensive, but it most definitely existed.
It just wasn't in DMC's budget...
