There do seem to be sporadic issues with copies of these, I sympathise with those who’ve had a crap deal.
I’ve had three of these parlophone reissues now and they’ve all been great.
I have also listened to originals and these stack up very nicely, they’re never going to beat an original though with a price tag to match.
But I’m not an oligarch, so these will do nicely -
No problems with any skipping issues on my copy. It plays extremely well, loud and the audio is nice and punchy. Sounds great imo

Edited 5 years agoThese Parlophone reissues do a great job for the most part and this is no exception.
We have a quite vibrant sound with good separation and best of all a lot of bass.
Vocal performances sound natural too, most everything is appreciable.
My only problem, and a major one at that, is how hot this cut is. I listen at lower volume than usual to tame some of the harshness. The material varies a lot in quality however so you sometimes want to increase the volume which is annoying.
The vinyl looks and feels nice in hand. Pressing wise its quiet enough as well with light ticks mostly which is expected on translucent and multicolored vinyl. And no, no skips here.
Its a nice release for sure but I wish I had more to compare with.
Equipment Used:
Rega RP1 with Paratrace tipped Nagaoka MP-200
Cyrus 2 Amplifier
System Fidelity SF-3050 Tower Speakers
Custom made HQ Speaker Cables -
I find this issue a bit quiet at times, some tracks are a lot more Low-fi and quiet sounding than others and you have to turn the volume up. I uesd a cheap non adjustable turntable to play it, my copy didn't skip.

I bought one copy on RSD and it skipped throughout all the tracks, on both sides so I had to return it. Managed to get a second online and the same problem. It is unplayable. Must have been a pressing problem. Do not buy this record because it will be unplayable.
