Big mistake selling my promo copy for pennies a few years back. to a record store.
the tracks are totally different from the public release. -
Edited 12 years agoI was very skeptical of this record But dam it won me over. As everyone knows it's a cheesy vocal. And it's not even well executed. Drunk people love it. To put it kindly, Madonna doesn't have the vocal chops of Aretha Franklin. The mixes use transformer scratch type samples of the vocals and that's a good way to edit. Shep Pettibone's 12" inch dance mix goes through the usual vocal but delves deep with 303 acid and layered synth. Laser noises and the usual (awesome) Shep snare drum pads. The other mixes are great too; instra dub and bass dub are creepers that become hand-clapping anthems.

The Dub Beats remix samples Prince's Bob George, from at that time Unreleased black album. It's pretty good.
