I've never been completely happy with any *vinyl* version of Atom Heart Mother that I've heard. I have the original UK 1st pressing and 2 different German ones, and none of them really deliver the music to full satisfaction. Because the sides are so long, I believe it's a difficult album to master to vinyl correctly. This is an album that really benefits from the CD format, in my opinion. I have this 1994 remastered CD and I think it sounds terrific, I've never heard this album sound better (and I'm something of an analog snob). Master tape sound, without all the compromises necessary to cut it to vinyl (and without the pressing noise that's seems to be inherent on so many copies).
