Random DJ commentary: ever tried beatmatching 'Oscar See Through Red Eye'? The matching itself is not an issue, but you'll have a hard time making a smooth transition since on this track one cycle is 6 bars instead of 8.

Bought my copy when it came out and it put me off buying any further warp records because it was a pile of shit.
I complained to warp and they told me I had to pay to return it, cheeky fuckers.
So I never bought another bloody warp record again after that.
Lazy bastards couldn’t even get a simple reissue right.
Wouldn’t have happened when Rob was around.
Warp are dead to me now. Cheers.

Side B of my copy is pressed off-center, causing significant wow and distortion. All other sides seem fine.

Edited 2 years agoSide 3 and 4 are BOC at their most beautiful. And while most of their records have a certain pastoral feel to them, this one really evokes a late late night/early morning, outdoors. You are high, for sure, but slowly coming back to earth. And there is a quiet happiness around. BOC are the best companions for these moments.

My copy is nearly pristine - some slight distortion in a few of the heavier sections, but no cracks and pops.Unfortunately, the last track on side C has a skip that keeps looping the same three or so seconds. There's no visible scratch or dirt, so it's a bit of a bummer on a nearly flawless pressing.

My favourite Boards album, but then each one of them is my favourite but for different things, this one is excellent for just careless relaxation, lounging and daydreaming.
The record itself is.. pretty nice, could be better, could do without a few cyclic crackles at the start of 3 out of 4 sides, oh and there was mysterious substance all over my side D that I had to clean off ?? I don't want to say someone may have jizzed on my copy of Campfire Headphase.. but that was weird to find. -

Got this on CD when it was released but have just got a vinyl copy (2013) repress.
Listen through tonight on headphones and my copy seems fine. No sound issues or scratches to the vinyl. -

Just been reading through all these comments on the repressings of the boc vinyl. So far I've gotten Hi Scores, MHTRTC, Twoism, ABPOITC… all of them were well pressed and played well without any surface noise or errors. But man, from what people have said about TCH and TransCanadaHighway, and Geogaddi, (and I've read Twoism had issues too) it seems they really fakked something up in these repressings. Campfire Headphase is probably my least favourite boc album so I'm gonna save it for last, and I'm glad I chose to do so. Hoping I can get the newest one that ISN'T a bad pressing.
