i recently got a copy, looks goods and sound goods. Did not came with the "Respect The Classics" hype sticker tho, but the barcode, the matrix and the album label correspond to this version because it is the one that includes the Universal Music Enterprises (UMe) logo. Anyone in the same situation?

Aside from a few pops happening here and there it is a decent pressing. The sound quality of the music itself is amazing. A definite classic.

Pretty great pressing, mastering done at BM, can’t really go wrong at all, nicely done. Wish this reissue included 8-Ball, but it wasn’t on the original. One of the best best West Coast LPs-started it all

I bought my copy of this sealed, and the sound quality is pretty good. However, my copy came slightly warped and there were a few finger print/grease smudges on it? Not really sure how that happened at the factory but whatever, gave it a quick clean and it was fine.

Edited 7 years agoI just received a new/sealed copy of this. Previous commenter asked for a comparison to the original release which I can't do but I'm spinning it on a Pro-Ject Debut Carbon Esprit SB with an Ortofon 2M Blue + Lounge Audio LCR MKIII preamp. Nowhere near as bad as reported but yeah, the noise floor is higher than I'd like. The vinyl itself is nice and flat, no warping or sharp edges. Channel separation is great and the mix is good - overall I'd give it a 7 out of 10. if the noise floor was silent it'd be a 9. I wouldn't say avoid it at ALL costs, I'd say avoid it at HIGH costs - got mine for $13 and I'd say avoid if cost is over $20.

Anybody else have a review in regards to pressing/sound quality on this release? Hopefully a comparison to the original US release and a note as to the TT you're using. Thanks!

This version is horribly pressed at United (muddy with non-fill). The original cd sounds a lot better than this. Avoid this pressing at all costs.
