Notes
First pressing with both Plan 9 and Caroline addresses and logos on sleeve.
Includes a single-sided, folded insert sheet with photo collage on one side and lyrics on the other.
Pressed on thick opaque vinyl (approx. 160gram).
This version has a pressing flaw which causes a skip during the first track.
The track order of A4 and A5 is switched on the back sleeve, but is correct on side A center label and lyric sheet.
The guitar riff in the bridge to "Unbridled" was taken directly from the cartoon theme song for "Courageous Cat And Minute Mouse"
Back sleeve:
Plan 9 P.O. Box 696 Lodi, NJ 07644
Caroline Records, Inc. Caroline 5 Crosby Street New York NY 10013 (212) 219·1500
Recorded at Reel Platinum, Lodi, NJ.
Jacket Made in Canada
Center labels (with a large "pressing ring"):

Insert:

(EDP) in deadwax is the logo for Europadisk, the company that plated the lacquers and made the original stampers. All subsequent US pressings have the (EDP) logo because it was stamped into the father plates, but only the first pressing was plated at (EDP).
Runouts are etched except (EDP) and MASTERED BY TRUTONE which are stamped.

Everything on mine matches except for the skip. I've read that it may depend on your turntable whether or not you hear it. I have a bootleg that I keep for listening.
-
My copy has a few smokey streaks when held above a bright light , they are noticeable ,I Can't find info on it ,but happy with the copy I have .
-
No skip on mine… pretty cool anomaly though, would def consider buying the one that skips just because it seems like it’s on a number of them or maybe even intentional..

I’ve never heard a copy of this that doesn’t skip on Diablos. Always in the same spot, and the older comments are right — it sounds less like a skip and more of a locked groove. It almost like it’s intentional. I’m sure not every copy does this, but don’t believe people who wanna blame your turntable. My VG+ copy skips on my perfectly calibrated Planar 3. It is what it is. Great album.

It looks like not all the first pressings have the skip on Diablos 88. Mine plays through without issue.

I post here just a note but valid for all original presses: side A tracklist is wrong on back cover(tracks 4 and 5 are inverted), side A label has correct one.

The first track on my version plays straight through, does any one know why some play fine and some
don't . I did the research this is a first pressing insert and thick vinyl. -
The first track on my version plays perfectly. This is a nice thick vinyl and a beautiful sounding pressing!
