Edited 20 years agoI rarely give negative reviews (since who cares, everyone's got a stinky "opinion") but since this has gotten such huge accolades, I figure I'd thrown in a dissenting opinion: this CD is a bit cheezy - typical hokey "spaced out ambient" sort of vocal samples on every track, very typical synth-washes and filter sweeps mixed in with some piano that, to be honest, I find to be quite cloying.
I didn't like this disc back when it came out and it certainly hasn't aged well. Perhaps this is one for "those who were there" but would anyone really be impressed by this today? It's almost like a parody of ambient music or something - but you know, there's always gotta be one person who doesn't like it - caveat emptor.
