Was pleasantly surprised by the translucent red pressing! The artwork on the vinyl itself is great. A great album! -
I thought I was buying a black copy, which I prefer, but got the transparent red. The sound is good, a bit overloaded when peaking, but decent soundstage if not in the 0 to +6 db range. I like the gatefold with lyrics, fairly easy to read. Even though the vinyl was fairly quiet, the mix just doesn’t have the depth and stereo field my 30th Anniversary mix of Eponymous by Rise Above Records has, even if it suffers from a few clicks and pops, but those can be removed. -
I've had this variant for years and finally played today. The sound is astonishing. Great bass. -

I have this version and the gold/black split reissue and this red press sounds A LOT better. Just, fyi.

Got it brand new and it was warped on outer edge. Though it was a bad copy so I returned it for a replacement and guess what? Yes, warped at exactly the same spot. Too bad because this is a fantastic album.
Bad pressing just like the ones from GZ Media. Beware. -
Edited 4 years agoMy copy has the grooves cut off-center and has surface noise, light pops, and a skip. Buyer beware. -
No booklet...No dowloadcodes.
Sound quality is very nice.
Does anyone know whether the LP's are mastered differently compared to the CD's / s? -
