Edited 19 years agoBeck has yet again proven himself worthy with his rock music. Whether considered Indie, Alternative, Folk, whatever! His music will always remain one of my favourites.
There is not a single song on this release I hate, except for "Farewell Ride" which is just weird; repeating the same thing over and over...
Songs like "Clap Hands", "Hell Yes" and "Earthquake Weather" are actually quite bouncy songs, which at first made me think they should be Hip-Hop! For rock songs, they really don't sound rock, which is makes for a better release.
Other songs like "Send A Message To Her", "Missing", "Girl" and "Que Onda Guero?" stick to the usual styles of folk/country rock. Not usually the one for country rock (because of The Dixie Chicks!!), Beck has actually made me start to appreciate it!
Overall, because of Beck's variable taste in Rock music, he has been able to attract a vairety of different Rock fans around the world; including me.
A job well done from Beck, and don't stop suprising us Beck!
