Edited 6 years agoI agree with speedingdeacon. I've never heard this album in better quality. This pressing is a masterpiece.

Dead quiet background and incredibly dynamic mastering. This release sounds much more full and wide than the original CD. This is one of my favorite albums, but it always sounded quiet and flat to me in the past, but the remastering and high quality of the pressing really brings everything to life. It was a true joy to listen to even after listening to this album countless times in the past. Great attention to detail with the excellent quality jacket and artwork as well. Another wonderful job by MOV.

Edited 3 years agoI don't believe for a second that this MOV reissue was sourced from the original mastertapes at all. I think this "entirely remastered" MOV reissue was pulled from CD. Why? Simple: if you are going to genuinely reissue the 1993 vinyl version, then you'd expect that the track durations of all the tracks on this MOV reissue are exactly the same as the track duration as they are on the UK in 2000 on the Sony Soho Square imprint. So you either get the 1993 original or that 2000 reissue; any other reissue on vinyl that has the exact same track durations as on the CD can not and has not been remastered from the original vinyl masters, but -and I think I'm pretty close to the truth- from CD.

Superb debut album from a proper talent.
Came about at quite a good time and fit in well to the ever popular acid jazz scene. The mastering for this pressing is quite nice and packaged in the usual MOV adhesive sleeve. The overall package is precisely why some reissues are actually better than the originals. It doesn't happen often but this one I'll vouch for.
