Hello community
I have a question .. I own this Verson of "still" and which is strange: my version has a ribbon in addition. I do not know any more where I got it from ... its been decades .... but I wonder because I don`t find any informations about ribbons except at the clothbound version (my version is definitively this one)
Did there anyone try to cheat or is it just a mistake?
Any experiences?
Thanks in advance + have a great time

Love this collection despite the slightly odd tracklist. Being able to hear the final gig they performed, with the partially inaudible vocals on Ceremony, the enormously creepy synth part on Decades, and the occasional fuckups by Steven and Bernard, really feels like such a privilege.
On a much more banal note, the labels of this pressing seem extremely prone to foxing, maybe because of a reaction to the sleeve material - all four labels had it when I got my copy in 2007/8 and the copy in the images here has it too. It's possible to lessen it by wiping with an antibacterial surface wipe and leaving to dry - takes away the worst of the rust colour without damaging the label itself, but there are still spots visible. Either way, a brilliant record and fortunately still cheap to get hold of these excellent original pressings. -

Packaging needs careful use, the top and bottom of spine can tear over time and the cover is prone to getting dirty. So it's very hard to find this in mint condition. But anyway the gatefold has its own charm, with all those embossed letters, it feels like an old photo album to me

Still is Factory Records' attempt to mop up the remaining singles and unreleased tracks in the wake of Ian Curtis's ing, as well as their final live performance at Birmingham University. A superb collection of tracks, the uptempo Ice Age is my personal favorite. While some may say that the sound quality of the second disc is lacking due to it being a live recording, I find this to be untrue, especially when played at a higher volume. The energy of the performance is palpable, and the sound quality is quite solid. If you can, try to get a first or early issue- one with "TOWN HOUSE" in the runouts.

Of Unknown Pleasures and Closer its Still that has really stuck with me over the 40 years as my favorite of the 3 recordings. Amazing record.

"The runouts say TOWN HOUSE.
This copy of Still is similar but lacks "TOWN HOUSE" in the runouts"
Well which is it?! -
I got this free in 1987 while wagging school at Jupiter Records. The store girl asked me to go buy her lunch so she wouldn't have to lock up. It was raining like hell so I came back soaked. She shared her lasagna with me while we listened to side A of #1. When It finished she wrapped it up and gave it to me. What a babe!
