Since thirdman owns the rights to publishing it do you think we’re gonna get a repress on cd

Looks like you can get the CD direct from the label for $15 plus shipping.

I really hope they repress this on CD. Makes more sense for the music, and the vinyl doesn't have locked grooves for continuity like er.

so how are the sides done on the vinyl? are there fade ins / outs or just the abrupt cuts youd get on a digital version? or are the songs completely separate now? i'm interested

It's happening. Thanks Jack White. Now make Heavy Rocks happen.

Heads up: A month or two ago (I believe it was October but it could have been September) Boris posted wha appeared to be a vinyl boxset of Flood. It’s gonna happen, gang.

Take it for what you will but the label (MIDI Creative) is likely the reason there's been no re-issue of any sort. I being on a forum years ago (DFFD, formerly the Southern Lord Goatshed) and one of the forum who ran an independent label claimed he tried to get the rights but the label wanted an outrageous price for them (Somewhere in the five-digit range.).

Is the paper they used for this release prone to mildew or some kind of foxing? I recently bought this album and when I received the CD it looked like factory sealed, but after I took off the shrinkwrap I noticed some kind of weird darker speckling, but only in the exterior part of the booklet, and only in the blueish areas, not in the white ones. It's not super evident but it's there. You can even feel it to the touch.
I know that certain japanese releases for some reason are very prone to yellow foxing. I wonder if this one suffers from something like that.

Just bought my CD 10 days ago. Will always love this one. I wish the group would at least do a Hi-Rez FLAC or DSD digital release of this album! An audiophile digi release would be (almost) just as good.

Even allowing for the label issues mentioned by RadomeDep't, I can't for the life of me understand why Flood and the first Heavy Rocks album STILL haven't been issued on vinyl. They've been fan favorites for well over a decade, and if there's one thing Boris fans can be counted on to do, it's shell out for vinyl.

No time like the present! The band's erratic prolificacy in the years since Smile has alienated many longtime followers. I imagine that a couple nice round reminders of Takeshi, Wata & Atsuo at their best would bring quite a few of them (us) back into the fold...
