Edited one year agoas expected — given what i’ve read and personally heard from older catalog FOB presses — it’s pretty mid. my copy is a beautiful marble of blues, but this really does need a proper pressing to do the album justice. a generous 4/5.. songs like “sending postcards” and “the patron saint” have vocals that hurt to listen to due to their IGD — especially “sending postcards”. i will say though, overall, i think this sounds quite a bit better than my 15th anny IOH or black/red FUTCT (which is good for me, because this is my favorite FOB album).
