The rawness, authenticity and uncompromising nature of this live-record is probably best described by Swans. I know almost everything from them, but this 2LP is enough for me...this is SWANS!

I own this, and i will never never sell it. In the late 80s I told a friend of mine (he was listening to joy Division aso), to take a trip with this, and he was fascinated. I am still, after decades. I don‘t know about the reissue, but the original is insane.

I can’t compare it to the repress, but this sounds fantastic! One of my favorite records, and the material on the sleeve is cool. Play at MAX volume -

This is *the* document of early Swans. I've had my copy for about 10 years and wouldn't trade it for anything.

Gira posted on the Swans Instagram a USB stick with "Public Castration" stickered on it. Reissue imminent? -
My Copy:
Disc 1. Pressed onto 116 grams of Black Vinyl.
Disc 2. Pressed onto 132 grams of Black Vinyl.
Still plays very nicely indeed for vinyl that is coming up to 35 years old. -
Anyone know how many of these were pressed? Mine is stamped in the hundreds but there is a zero in the thousands indicating at least 1000 were pressed.
