The Final Nail In The Coffin
Much in the same way that Jimi Hendrix changed the landscape back in 1967, another Seattle by-product rewrote the playbook. Instead of further continuing to add to the pop metal recipe book, Cobain and company turned to Butch Vig to find a sound that wouldn't be over-the-top radio friendly. The outcome was a sonic shock to the frontal lobe, distorted guitars, punk angst, great songwriting and the tightest rhythm section known to mankind. This was, Cobain's coming out party but more than that showcased the deadly one-two punch of Kris Novoselic and David Grohl.
Some will say over-rated but I'll say that it was the album that took alternative music to the masses as well as put the final nail in the coffin to all that 80s pop metal that had us looking out of place. -
24 years later and this album still gives me the chills when I listen to it. An absolute masterpiece and the anthem to my generation, that's my story and I'm sticking to it. R.I.P. Kurt and thanks for everything.

first listen to nirvana´s "teen spirit" and then to "valley of the long decline" by the Speed Niggs", that came out the year before.

my copy of nevermind is exactly like this one listed here except for the fact that it does not contain endless nameless, and on the inside of the cd ring the code is different it says didx-011927, not what the one here says.this is in reference to the us 1991 initial cd release.
