I was skeptical buying one. I own an analogue productions mono, had a 2016 mono, and a 2016 stereo copy. My VG duo that I recently picked up might be my favorite copy. It sparkles and brings out a different timbre to Brian's beautiful mono mix. Unlike many duophonic and re-processed mono albums, it isn't reverb laden. There are tracks that I prefer in mono. There are tracks I prefer in true stereo, but as an overall listening experience... This is special. Just because it isn't "exactly how Brian wanted it" doesn't mean you shouldn't give it a listen with your own ears. It also doesn't mean you have bad ears if you enjoy this way - It's Pet Sounds. You'll love it regardless.

I like it. Duophonic is the sound of the sixties (my childhood years)

A nice link if you're questioning what Duophonic means versus Mono or Stereo.
