I generally prefer vinyl to cassette or CD, but this cassette is my preferred format by which to hear this album. Part of it has to do with the fact that the first time I heard this album was on cassette in 1988 so a lot of memories are attached to how the album sounds on cassette and the other being that the format really lends itself to how the album was mixed. So dynamic, but not harsh, tinny or thin. The vocals, guitars, bass and drums all work together fantastically when this tape is played through a good system. I do enjoy listening to this album on vinyl, make no mistake - but the cassette wins out overall with Master Of Puppets.
