Edited 2 years agoyesssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss the sibilance ruins this pressing i think the latest re-issue from 2020 EU blows this away!!! i own this and the 2007 rhino re-issue also both beat the hell out of this pressing
-
Confirmed the SRC(SR etched runout) US pressings appear to have severely bad sibilance and should be avoided at all costs

Why are autographed sales even allowed in the sales stats? It just throws off the real value of regular ol records and leaves it open to price gouging, when people look at an overall average, when pricing to sell. Also... This is Depeche Mode, not the Beatles. No offense, I'm a fan, but would someone really pay 2 G's for that?

Thisssss pressssing is crisssspy sssssounding and has a lot of sssssibilence. Lissssstening to the ssssS's is painful!

Edited 8 years agoPretty sure this is the version I have, but it has a big shiny label saying "lent for promotional use only. Etc" the runouts are also different.

Such great music. This must be a bad pressing, though. The "Ss" are harsh, and it spoils the whole album. Pity.
