I bought my copy new in the early 2000s when it came out. It's a lovely pressing as others have said, but mine had a few little white dots embedded in/on the vinyl of side 1 - possibly paint? Or some chemical that reacted with the vinyl? Anyway they cause a few loud pops during playback. I'm used to it now and I haven't tied to dig them out for fear of causing more damage, but it's something for buyers to look out for. Although no one else has noted this, so maybe I just got unlucky.

I’m glad I read some reviews before settling on this pressing. It seems most reissues of this record have challenges, and the originals are untouchable, making this one worth a bit of research up front.
I just received this 2000 gatefold pressing and it is definitely a winner. I was actually shocked at the vocal quality as his first note emerged from my speakers. I have a good but sometimes unforgiving system, so this ed the test.

If the newer reissues are as faulty as people claim, then I cant recommend this version enough for Nick Drake fans.

agree with the other comments, this is a good pressing. any ideas if this version was mastered using the analogue tapes ?

Good pressing with nice sound, pvc sleeve with flap, but it isn’t gatefold.

Good, clean sounding reissue. Previously had the 180g Back To Black reissue, and felt it really didn't handle the sibilance effect in Drake's voice well, some describe this as a tearing sound. I also didn't want the huge box set version. This pressing is articulate, quiet between songs, and generally just gets it right. Avoid that other one, and consider grabbing this one.
