Mind blowing album. Heard it as a kid got it on cd, purchased the repress on vinyl and yeah still puts in that place. One of the most amazing cover designs too just perfect!!

My only gripe with the 2018 bonus tracks is that they should have also included the EP they did for Warp, the '3EP'.
As for the actual music, there is no gripe, anyone who has heard this before already knows its a classic. If you haven't heard it before, make it the next record you buy. -
Keep the Warp Artfucial Intelligence represses coming! The recent B12 repress output has been amazing. The Electrosoma and the Electrosoma volume 2 (which sounds as good as as any of their output) is so much awesome. Im hoping that they repress Virtual States, Bytes, and Spanners as all my copies are a bit noisy, and my Virtual State album and promo both skip.

Repress....https://bleep.com//b12-time-tourist?utm_source=Bleep
Looks like a nice package too. As it says the bonus 12" is from the archive, so I think the tracks are culled from Artificial Intelligence 2, Likethemes ep and the A.R.T / B12 split double pack and a longer mix of DB5 ? -
This release is impenetrable and unassailable. I can sadly do nothing for anyone who fails to see its almost infinite greatness. God's hand was in on this.

Edited 9 years agoTime Tourist tells a complete story from start to finish. Cymetry and Epilion are one of the best songs to drive to. B12 went above and beyond with this one. When I first heard it in 2012 I thought it was new!! Pure techno, all sounds are crisp and sterile. A very important piece in the UK techno scene. One of the great albums of the prime 92-96 era.

Edited 18 years agoProbably the last real IDM album released by Warp, this epic cd closes the door on perhaps the label's best era...
With legendary cover art, brilliantly produced and sounding as fresh today as it did some 11 years ago, it's arguably Warp's last truly classis release. For many, B12's pervious outing on the label 'Electro-Soma' remains their defining output, but I'd like to put the case for an album regard as equally special.
From the chilled, cooled-out opener VOID/COMM with it's expansive beats and spacial sound, this is classis 'Electronic Listening Music' of the highest quality. What caused Warp to veer from this kind of path is beyond me, but we owe the label an immense ammount for championing music of this calibre for so many years...
I recently spotted that WarpMart have this back in stock, so track it down and purchase it... Or get the from Bleep. You won't be disappointed, in fact, you'll be amazed...
