Edited 4 months agoDayglo mix is a masterclass in how to launch a sine wave into the atmosphere.
A two-act play where all the elements rise perfectly from the floor to send our happy little pure-tone off into the ether with a little farewell wink in the acid line at the end of the second repetition.

The Dayglo Mix is more on the euphoric, emotion-driven side, with a slight spacey, airy vibe. It has a quite rich, evolving melody that continuously changes, introducing new sounds into the mix. It's certainly the more trancey-sounding track out of the two on this record.
The Black Light Mix has a more measured/slower-paced and minimalistic approach. It aims to create a darker and more menacing atmosphere. Honestly, at certain points, it reminds me of some of the productions of Andreas Schmidt (Witness, Depths of Doom, etc.). It's definitely more on the Goa (and Acid) side.
I think I prefer the Dayglo Mix, but the Black Light Mix is also a quality piece of work. -

the true gold era of goa music!!! -
If you have never heard this tune, i recommend that you buy it. It is one of the more seminal tracks of the trance genre. Chances are you heard it first on the Paul Oakenfold essential mix from 1993, referred to by Pete Tong as the 'Trance-tastic Essential mix'. It is a well measured floor filler, and is a superb piece of music. A super distictive lead riff and intro bell, which has been ripped off on a couple of occasions since like most original big tracks.
