What's with the pictures of Sonny Stitt rather than Coltrane on the front and back? Shoddy to say the least.
Yes I know Stitt took over from Trane later in 1960. -
A great concert, just wish there was more archive material about the concert and setting, the recording itself as well. Shame there wasn't a gatefold with more images.

From the opening seconds you know exactly where this is going, Cobb and Chambers are on fire and the tempo is impossibly fast, Davis first solo, which is so familiar did sound a little disappointing,he may have possibly wondered away from his microphone, however once Coltrane starts his solo it sounds amazing, he is given so much freedom and he uses it to his full potential. Kelly keeps pushing the tempo for all he's worth. This is SoWhat like you've never heard it before.
This fabulous piece of art history keeps surprising all the way through.
Pressed in a heavy Blue vinyl, Unique Jazz have produced what in sure will become a must have for all Davis fans.
