Totally agree that this will be ed over by many, their loss. Great sounding album that picks up your mood when you put it on. OGs in NM are achievable for this album, but you are likely to go through quite a few and maybe never find one that that is silent. Great pressing here, little bit of tape hiss on a couple tracks but nothing out of place. Never been lucky on cool numbers, but surprised to get #0001

I feel like a lot of people will this by as ittedly it's not peak Satchmo or whatever, but the album has always sounded great. But those all Kapp pressings had really crummy vinyl and were quite compressed. So how does this sound? Fantastic. It's not Satchmo Plays King Oliver good. But it's still great. The title track and this rendition of "Kiss to Build a Dream On" are beautiful. Armstrong's horn is handled beautifully and the high-end is realistic but soft so you can really crank it up unlike those OG pressings. As stated below, highly recommend if you love Louis' work.

This sounds lovely, clean, clear and vibrant! Some tracks seem to be recorded better than others but if you like HiFI Louis this feels like a no brainer purchase.

          Buy with confidence!
