Just finished a 3 times listen to this record, in full. Mind blowing pressing, NO ticks, NO pops, FLAT as a pancake (well, even flatter ;-) I could NOT hear any silibance at all. All is in perfect balance; voice, instruments with a black background. Not harsh or bright.

Compared to my 25th An. edition (that does sound very good) it has some more openness, warmth and a wider soundstage.
Her voice it a tiny bit more upfront, placing the instruments where they belong.

Gives me a more 'Analoge' feeling.

Overall a 10/10 release to me...as the hype sticker says: This One-Step is insane!

My first copy was borderline unlistenable due to excessive sibilance. My copy also had a corner ding so I returned it. I am happy to report that my replacement copy has no sibilance issues whatsoever. The difference is stunning. Don’t be afraid to send back a sibilant copy, it’s not your setup.

Great sound but a lot of sibilance on my rig. Really annoying

My first Because Sound Matters purchase, and I think it’s a winner. Lush and open, beautiful arrangements and instrumentation. Of course Lang is superb. I don't want to discount others experiences, as we all have different set-ups, but I think the reports of sibilance are a bit overblown. I played it back over two fine front ends, one with a Phasemation PP500, the other with an Ortofon Quintet Black S. I heard none of the distracting sibilance that you do hear on the CD. I will say this record needs deep cleaning, preferably ultrasonic. It was a mess out of the sleeve. I would imagine if you haven't got all that residue out of the grooves, it might be contributing to a less than optimal sound. Clean it thoroughly, your stylus too, and you'll be rewarded with a beautiful listen.

This is a 10/10 sonically. The songs are great the singing fantastic the arrangements superb.
Some on that Hoffman forum are banging on about sibilance issues. It’s tiny and not in the least intrusive. They love to kvetch. Many are just trolls. Fools with poorly set up carts.
Fremer said he had to readjust HIS cart. Proves it wasn’t set up correctly in the first place. You can take this review to the bank.
              Buy and enjoy.

First listening over headphones and yes, there’s a lot of extra details, and some -not terrible- sibilance on side 1 last three tracks.
What a great album and singer.

This vinyl is absolutely mind-blowing! The depth, warmth, and clarity of the sound are unreal—every note feels alive. Pure analog perfection! What a treat! An absolute gem and a must-have for any audiophile collector.

Just finished listening to both sides and could not hear any imperfections. No ticks, no pops, huge soundstage, great clarity and zero sibilance. This sounds amazing!! It’s just what one would expect from a one step. No regrets on this purchase. Ruby Benz z

Everything I hoped it would be - huge soundstage, dynamic presentation, dead quiet pressing. And ... sibilance. Yep, it's quite prominent on certain tracks. To be fair, it was also present (to a lesser degree) on the 25th anniversary pressing. And a quick listen of the original CD I could hear the prominent "S" on those tracks, though never to the point of distraction. But with the more revealing nature of this one step pressing, the sibilance is more prominent. To be fair, I do have a fairly revealing system. And while others have complained about the pressing being too bright, I don't find that to be true. But it's a real shame, as the sibilance is keeping this pressing from being perfect.
