Great album albeit very 90s sounding ambient/techno i.e. lots of little samples tossed in but the rhythm never gets jarring like the Prototype 909 stuff he made(dont get me wring Acid Tech and the f/u are classics). Mellow synth pads, cool 808 rhythmic elements add to the serene beat oriented voyage the Human Mesh Dance takes you on. Introduced via the Instinct ChillOut 2xcd comp from 1993 also recommended!

Edited 13 years agoFeeling a little sentimental today. Laying in bed with a hangover, I thought I would listen to some CDs from my youth. If I did the instinct ambient label would definitely be part of it and taylor 808 would be in there somewhere. Ahh the sounds of yesteryear. Analog verging on the digital sunrise. The memories of the futuristic sound of spacey electronic music. Strangely, sounds like these have this romanticism that sound more futuristic than space music from these times now 18 years later. Maybe because I am ing my memories as a teenager hearing subsonic aquatic techno like Dahlia. I enjoyed drifting to other planets in the comfort of my bedroom thanks to releases like these. It was my getaway from the reality of things. Like reading a book. You could say these sound dated but that is a good thing when it comes to warmth in electronic music IMO. If u are unfamiliar then enjoy the future through the past.
