Edited 7 days agoBought this back in November time when it dropped after RSD black Friday. So glad to have this in my collection. I got it mostly for the Avril Lavigne version of the spongebob theme song. Though the soundtrack in itself is fantastic. Esp with bangers like Best Day Ever and You Better Swim.
Sound quality is excellent. Sounds exactly how it should on vinyl. The record sounds they are actually there in the room with you. Sounds nothing like the CD (compared to what others have said). I'm an audiophile so I know when something is off or not. -
Honestly, not the best sound quality. Some loud pops here and there and a lot of crackle at the beginning. I really can’t complain it’s SpongeBob! -

Snapped up a copy as soon as I saw an online retailer had it for MSRP. Man do I love the blast of nostalgia and it being on vinyl. Sounds good but not much better than CD/digital.
Think it's a new or different release because mine says "Made in Czech Republic" instead of in the USA -
Edited 2 months agoPressing is a bit noisy. Sonically it’s not bad at all but nothing crazy. On my flat system it sounds just like the CD. If you listen closely to some songs on the CD you can hear distortion from the hard limiting used when mastering the CD. On this record, there is distortion in the same spots but it is even more pronounced which I assume is just the nature of putting distorted brickwalled masters on vinyl. Overall still a great add to my collection because it’s SpongeBob but don’t expect better sound than the CD because this was totally cut straight from the CD masters.

While we're on the topic of misprints the picture on the inside of the Gatefold depicts SpongeBob and Patrick in that "dangerous trench" which they were only able to brave with their mustaches - and lo and behold - no mustaches on the artwork! I hope somebody loses their job over that blunder!

Edited 4 months agoUsed to rent this CD from the library when I was little. Had absolutely no idea the memories that this album held until I threw this on after my girlfriend tracked one down for me :') Fantastic pressing, outrageously beautiful artwork, and hilarious misprint! -
The quality of this record is off the charts and the splatter looks amazing too! Ridiculously glad I was able to snag this on Black Friday! -
