Bummed to hear people got dirty copies. Mine arrived absolutely mint, flat, and very clean out of the cardboard inner sleeve. The packaging is actually super cool and done quite well. The raised lettering on the matte outer and inner sleeves is a nice touch.
Sound quality here seems solid on my setup. No pops, crackles or sibilance (which I’m stoked on since skyfall is kinda tucked on side A). I do notice the grooves on my copy seem rather deep. I’d guess this vinyl plays smoother with a more upgraded cart than an entry level, but haven’t confirmed myself? -
Down to my second copy and they both sound like crap. Pops, crackles, sibilance. Clearaudio Performance turntable and LP's been ultrasound cleaned twice. It's just a bad pressing. Awful.

Mine came with both regular 12in and deluxe 12in in the giant weed baggie. Was this normal for everyone or did I just get lucky?

Maybe I got lucky but my pressing had no issues. Sounded great, no skips, good bass, etc. only complaint is there’s no “deluxe” tracks but otherwise no problems

Edited 7 months agoOther comments regarding sound quality checks out, it’s just lazy stereo. But since people here are so negative lemme point out some things that made me happy.
Quintana Pt. 2 features a 3rd Mike Dean extension, this time the 2nd part is extended and has some crazy synths.
I was extremely happy to find out Grey isn’t in it’s terrible new digital master, which i’m sure a lot of people will agree with. it’s still a bit updated tho.
some people commented on the outer sleeve being a bad addition since it doesn’t fit into a regular sleeve for preservation.. it has a zip lock at the top so it IS an outer sleeve, people are just slow. and it’s good quality is well.
Some are upset with the print quality as well.
I dunno if all are produced same place, or some are luckier than others, but i barely hear any crackling/popping, except for the runouts on mine. -
Edited 7 months agopretty upset tbh - i mean it sounds ~okay~. as others have said, it does sound quite flat; i actually had to make sure my speakers and receiver were working properly before i came to see other reviews. the mix is inoffensive and doesn’t necessarily cause major concerns.
where i do have issues is in pressing itself. constant cracks, pops, and even skips which is just inexcusable from a top artist and the modern equipment, especially on quintessential songs like DYSTI.
on top of that, the deluxe songs aren’t even on here! the main reason i chose this version was the belief that those songs would be on here, otherwise i would’ve just gone with the original (and more appealing) artwork. instead, you get a glorified wrapper that doesn’t even fit into a sleeve.
but hey, at least it’s an “official” pressing, albeit one that lacks much of the “official” quality that should come with a much anticipated vinyl release. -
