A superb sounding Ella record with some swingin' arrangements by West Coast bandleader Marty Paich and his 'Dektette'.

The songs are lesser known jazz and popular standards, not her usual Gershwin/Porter fare. The instrumentalist solos sound huge on this mono mix.

Highlights include "Just You, Just Me", "Gotta Be This Or That", "If I Were A Bell". Beautiful singing by Ella.

Nice release and a decent pressing. 3.5 stars.

The mono version of this record has been released in 1959, not in 1958. The stereo one in 1960.
