Edited 14 days agoAmazing pressing. I prefer it to the OG, which, although amazing musically, is very tinny to my ear. Others may prefer the OG, but it's a matter of personal preference, notwithstanding arguments over "artist intent." Unnumbered copies to be released to independent record stores on July 11, 2025. Don't pay flipper prices!

Maybe I'm crazy but I own an Original Press and this RHF. The OG is completely without bass. Super bright. Great music, not a easy listen. RHF slightly rolls highs, again slightly. Adds some bass. In no way is this some drastic change to the og. Sounds better to me. Still a bright album for sure.

Sounds great, but I prefer my original US pressing.
The extra bass and drums which are barely heard on the original pressing, come at the expense of both guitars.
The original butchers the end of the title track, which is a bit of a bummer, but it had an almost punk-like energy to it - raw and fresh.
I’m happy to own both, but will keep spinning the original. -
Edited 3 months agoWith the caveat that I have heard no other pressings of Marquee Moon, this pressing is aurally and visually flawless. The entire package is top-notch. I'm glad they chose to reissue this record, as it enabled me to gain a deeper appreciation for a bona fide classic of its era.

This is a very fine remaster and I’m glad I bought it again. My original is in pieces. I hoped they do Adventure as well.

Copy #909/5000
Sounds impeccable and genuinely one of the best sounding pressings in my collection. Amazing -
Edited 8 months agoEnded up getting one within the first 200. Sounds so far beyond phenomenal. Wow. This takes the "in the room" phrase and turns it up to 12. After tom's ing its nice to have him back in a way. The original certainly has merit, as it's tuned to intentionally sound like a transistor radio. However, good god this pressing is such a treat. This and analogue productions are the best audiophile labels in the game at the moment. 12/10
If I had to pick a record, knee jerk, as my best sounding 33, it would be this. -
Edited 10 months agoThis pressing it's a gift of God. Thanks to Kevin Gray this album never sounded so good. Jacket it's a masterpiece as well.
Not enough stars for this one! And all this only for 40$. Rhino High Fidelity series quickly became most exciting audiophile project. Excited what cool rock titles are coming next considering scale of their catalogue. -
this release sounds pretty good so 4 stars regarding the audio however they failed real bad with the gatefold jacket the way its made warps the record periods
still now i get to see something like that wich really irritates me.
my copy numbered 1908/5000 is spotless and shiny but convex...they ll never learn -
