Probably the best Drum n Bass album of the 90s (maybe with Black Secret Technology.) Rupert Parkes really was a craftsman, building exquisite and beautiful tracks that still sound like the future.

My copy sounds great but as others have said, this is over-priced for what it is. I got mine for £45 which was the cheapest I’d seen it for a while. Just about acceptable to finally have one of my favourite albums on vinyl.

Not terrible, but not that impressive soundwise; a bit anemic. Good pressing in many ways: pretty flat, black mirror clean, centered. Flaws are a few tiny non-fill dimples across all the discs that affect playback if you’re paying attention, very slight warping on 1/3 discs, and some occasional right channel static distortion here and there. This is a generally enjoyable, but flawed pressing. And for the price, that’s unacceptable. I returned my copy.

Can great wax still be pressed in the UK, other than by the Vinyl Factory? I’m not sure.

Got lucky on the records, I suppose. All 3 records well-centered and flat, no imperfections, with good playback and low surface noise on our system. Can't complain too much about the price as DnB is by no means plentiful and cheap where I am in general.

I found the half-moon inners within paper sleeves to be a needlessly annoying, creating the effect of something like stuffing a diaper into a paper envelope each time. An odd choice. Swapping out the cheap half-moons for some regular square-shaped antistatic inners. So I have to agree the packaging on this feels a bit rushed for the price but it is what it is. The sound is solid.

Have to agree, this reissue is egregiously priced for no real reason I can see. Nothing special about the packaging, nothing about the product at all. It did come with poly lined inners, which is a bonus (but should be standard on all releases imho). I like the mastering, but the discs are noisy in places, particularly the run in on each side.

Bought it on Redeye for £51. My copy is perfect. Well pressed and sounds great.

Poor repress for the money. C side pressing dotted with imperfections, all three vinyls are not centred and slightly warped. Money back for me, not impressed at all for the cost. What a shame. This re release deserves better!!!

The 4LP reissue of Villalobos's Alcachofa cost me $35, this makes no sense. Skipping until the price goes down
